Cat Mueller, based in Canberra, graduated with First Class Honours from the Painting Workshop at The ANU School of Art in 2015. In 2016 she was selected for the ‘HATCHED: National Graduate Show’ at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) and undertook a residency at Canberra Contemporary Art Space (CCAS). In 2017 she created a site-specific airbrushed painting for ‘BLAZE XI’ at CCAS Gorman House. During 2017 she held two solo exhibitions in Canberra; ‘Morph’, a series of small dotted paintings at CCAS Manuka; and ‘NONSTOP!’ at ANCA Gallery where she presented a series of large-scale airbrushed paintings and was acquired by Artbank Australia. She travelled to Hobart to create a site-specific painting for ‘HoBiennale 17’ for which she received CAPO's 2017 Eckersley's Materials Award. In 2018 she held a solo exhibition at Gaffa Gallery, Sydney, and exhibited in group shows including at May Space, Sydney; Tributary Projects, Canberra; and ANU School of Art Gallery, Canberra. Her work is held in the ANU Drill Hall Gallery, Canberra; the Prime West Collection, Perth; and Artbank Australia.
